The Chelsea International Hostel was first opened in 1993 with only one building. Since then we have expanded our facility into the seven separate buildings with a private courtyard vicinity. We offer a wide variety of unique low-cost private style rooms as well as two person dormitory rooms to accommodate travelers on any budget. Our private rooms include either bunk-beds or a double bed – along with all the amenities of a Hotel for a fraction of the price! Our private rooms can be shared between two individuals or used as a truely private room for one or two persons. The Chelsea International Hostel is located in the historic Chelsea district of Manhattan - just north of Greenwich Village and south of Midtown Manhattan (between 7th and 8th Avenues). This district has the lowest crime-rate in all of Manhattan but we still provide a professional security staff. Our property is maintained around the clock by a highly motivated maintenance and maid staff and our front desk personnel is comprised of international travel extraordinaires prone to periodic world adventuring who can help with the nuts and bolts of New York and her surrounding Boroughs.
